The 38TXA air conditioner delivers cool comfort that
you feel, not hear. At Carrier, we understand that it's hard to relax
with a noisy air conditioner. That's why we developed the Silencer System
to include four features that ensure extra-quiet cooling. This exclusive
design consists of our Silencer System top, low-speed fan motor with
large-diameter fan blades, a compressor vibration isolator plate and a
sound muffling hood. The Silencer System top ensures smooth, easy air flow
through the outdoor unit to minimize sound typically associated with
turbulent air. This exclusive top design also allows us to use a low-speed
fan motor with large diameter fan blades which add to the quiet, efficient
performance of the 38TXA. The compressor vibration isolator plate is made
of a special, vibration-absorbing material surrounded by two metal plates.
Mounted underneath the compressor, this plate captures vibrational noise
from the compressor. The sound hood further reduces sound by blanketing
the compressor with sound-absorbing materials. All of these design
elements work together to reduce the sound caused by unit vibrations due
to air turbulence and compressor vibration.

Not only does the Silencer System effectively minimize sound
from your outdoor unit, it also adds to the overall cooling efficiency of
the 38TXA. By reducing air turbulence in the outdoor unit, the
Silencer System decreases the work required of your cooling system. As a
result, the 38TXA delivers greater comfort with improved energy
efficiency.
 For nearly 100 years, Carrier has earned its
